ETNA WILD TREK

A magical private tour, lasting about 7 hours, will make you discover Mount Etna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a more intimate, exclusive and different way than the usual tourist packages. A complete experience that takes place on foot, therefore recommended for couples or groups of friends or sporty people who usually walk and trek frequently. The day includes several stages. In addition to the excursion that will lead us to the beautiful Valle del Bove up to 2500 meters or that will take us through gullies inside it, there will be a visit to one or more inactive side craters and also a visit to a lava flow cave with helmets and torches for speleologists to feel all the energy and essence of this wonderful volcano,   among the most active on the planet. Program*

With the meeting at a point to be agreed with the guide (transfer NOT included, possible Pick up at the accommodation with car/jeep possibly to be organized), begins the tour that will lead you to the discovery of Etna.

The first step of the excursion will be the visit of one of the inactive side craters at an altitude of about 2200 meters to go all around the rim, entering it, a beautiful and exclusive experience that can hardly be repeated in other volcanoes in the world. At the end of the visit, you will be able to take advantage of the services at the bars of the refuges located in the nearby tourist resort.

The second step, The heart of our tour includes a medium-difficulty trek to the magnificent Valle del Bove. During the excursion the guide will introduce you to the geological, floristic and faunal characteristics of our volcano and you will be able to admire unique landscapes in the world with a splendid panoramic view of the entire Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas, as well as the summit area of the volcano, on the Valle del Bove itself at an altitude of about 2500 meters or from within it. Once at the destination, you will have a packed lunch (not included in the price) and after the stop you will resume the trek to return to the starting point with an alternative route to that of the outward journey.

The third step, the last one will be dedicated to the visit of a lava flow cave that we will explore with helmets and caving torches, material that will be provided by the guide. We will discover how each of these caves has its own history and how it is intertwined with the customs and traditions of man, as well as mythology. At the end of this visit, the tour will end with a return to your car or facility.

*The program may be subject to change at the discretion of the guide, depending on weather conditions or volcanic activity.
